Dear NAON Members and Friends,
As we close another remarkable year, I want to express my deepest gratitude to each of you for your unwavering commitment to orthopaedic nursing and to NAON’s mission. Together, we have achieved significant milestones and continued to advance excellence in orthopaedic care.
Reflecting on this year, I am especially proud of the energy and camaraderie showcased during our 44th Annual Congress in Louisville this past May. It was a vibrant celebration of learning, collaboration and the resilient spirit of our community. Thank you to all who attended, presented and volunteered—your contributions made it an unforgettable event.
In October, we came together again to celebrate Orthopaedic Nurses Week, highlighting the vital role orthopaedic nurses play in transforming patient care. Your dedication and expertise are at the heart of our collective success, and I’m honored to stand alongside such incredible professionals.
Looking ahead, 2025 promises to be an exciting year for NAON. As we prepare for our 45th Annual Congress now set to take place in Orlando, Florida, under the inspiring theme "Keep Believing," we’re reminded of the power of perseverance and faith in our shared vision.
For those who have not yet renewed their membership, now is the time to recommit to the orthopaedic nursing community. NAON offers invaluable resources, professional development opportunities and a network of peers who inspire and support one another. Continue growing with us by renewing your membership today and be part of the journey ahead.
Thank you for everything you do as NAON members. Let us step into the new year with renewed energy and optimism, ready to face challenges and embrace opportunities together.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season and a bright, prosperous 2024.
Warmest regards,
Donna Kurek, MSN, RN, MHA, ONC, CMSRN, CPHQ, FNAON
